Aima Rosmy Sebastian literally danced her way into the role in the film Jacobinte Swargarajyam. The youngster, proficient in both Western and classical dance, happened to dance with dancer-actress Mythili Roy, who suggested her name to the makers of the film.  The makers were looking for a girl who looked sixteen and was based in Dubai and Aima fit the bill on both counts. A video audition clinched the deal and Aima landed the role of Ammu, the only sister to three brothers, one being Nivin Pauly.

Talking more about the character, Aima says, “I play this cute and bubbly girl and truth be told, I did not have to act because I am actually just like my reel character.” Jacobinte Swargarajyam is a family film which revolves around a family with four children.

Incidentally, Aima has a twin sister and they had both signed up for a Malayalam film which did not see the light of the day. That disappointment has more than been made up by this film as Aima gushes, “I call it my luck to work with such a wonderful team that is so young and energetic. Vineeth Sreenivasan is the director and Nivin Pauly plays my brother; each and everyone was so supportive. The large chunk of the movie is shot in Dubai and I got so comfortable with the team that I used to go alone for the shoot and they all treated me like a family member.”

Working with Vineeth was very relaxing and Aima says that he is a person who spreads positive energy around the sets and is very grounded and humble.
