Censor board chief Pahlaj Nihalani was in for a shock when on  India’s Got Talent, host Karan Johar played songs from films produced by Pahlaj and poked fun at them for their raunchy content.

Says Pahlaj, “I shouldn’t really be surprised by Karan’s behaviour. But I am disappointed. As a producer I’ve known him for years. His father was a colleague and friend. We’ve gone against popular sentiments in Maharashtra to allow Bombay instead of Mumbai in two of his films. I don’t see any reason why Karan would hit out at me. I suppose it’s fashionable in the film industry to do so right now.”
