Sheena Bora murder case: Suitcase opens to fresh angles
Mumbai: The second suitcase recovered by the police on Sunday has brought in a new angle in the Sheena Bora murder case. The seizure of the suitcase from the residence of Indrani and Peter Mukerjea in Worli could lend credence to Mikhail Bora’s claim that his mother had planned to kill him too, a source from the police department said on Sunday.
A senior police official confirmed the development, but added that work was on to ascertain if this suitcase was bought along with the one used for disposing off Sheena’s body.
Earlier, in his statement to the police, Mikhail had told the police that just hours before Indrani and Sanjiv met Sheena on April 23, 2012 and took her for what would be the last drive of her life, Indrani had also allegedly drugged him. By the time they came back, the suspicious, and groggy Mikhail had fled.

A police source said both suitcases were bought from Dadar, but the senior official neither confirmed nor denied it.
“It is being verified now if these two suitcases were bought at the same time in 2012 prior to the murder,” the source said.
As per the investigations so far, Sheena was killed by her mother Indrani and step-father Sanjiv Khanna in a car with the help of the driver Shyam Rai on April 23, 2012. The duo had killed her by strangulating her with a dupatta and later carried the body and disposed it in Pen tehsil in the Raigad district the next day.
“It seems the accused wanted to chop the body and put it in these suitcases, but around eight hours had passed by and the body had not become stiff so they didn’t feel the need for the second suitcase,” the source added.
