Maha lapses in Sheena Bora murder case, DG orders probe
Mumbai: Maharashtra DGP Sanjeev Dayal has appointed two officers to probe serious lapses in the Sheena Bora murder case where the alleged remains of her body were found by Pen Police in Raigad district in 2012 but proper procedure was not followed.
A source from Mumbai Police said, “There is no shred of doubt that there has been dereliction of duty. First, they failed to register a murder case or even an accidental death report. Second, it’s true that Pen Police sent samples to J.J. Hospital and did documentation back then after finding (allegedly) Sheena's body but they again failed to follow it up."
