Lebanon’s army said two of its soldiers were seriously wounded after an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday morning on the village of Kfar Sir.

The Israeli military says it conducted a “combined wave of strikes” against infrastructure in Tehran, Shiraz and Tabriz on Monday.

The military says the strikes in Tehran hit command centers, launch sites and air defense systems.

In Shiraz, the internal security forces’ command center and a ballistic missile site were hit.

In Tabriz, the strikes “dismantled” additional air defense systems, the military says.

China says it is ‘in communication’ with US over Trump visit

China is communicating with the U.S. about issues including a planned visit by President Donald Trump, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.

“China and the U.S. are in communication on issues including the timing of President Trump’s visit to China,” Lin Jian said in Beijing. 

Trump on Monday said because of the war he proposed a delay to the trip, which was scheduled for late March to early April.

Lin added that U.S. officials clarified “the visit is unrelated to the issue of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.”

Trump told the Financial Times that he would like to know before leaving for Beijing whether China would help secure the strait.

A U.S. trade official on Monday walked back the statement, saying a postponement would be unrelated to China’s help in the strait.

Israel Strikes Tehran, Lebanon as Iran Hits Gulf States

Residents of Dubai and Doha, Qatar, awoke to the sound of explosions Tuesday as air defences worked to intercept new waves of incoming Iranian fire, and Israel launched new strikes on Iran and Lebanon, as the war in the Middle East showed no signs of abating. Dubai, a major transit hub for international travel, briefly shut its airspace as the military said it was "responding to incoming missile and drone threats" around the city.

Israel launched a wave of strikes on Tehran and Beirut on Tuesday while attacks in Baghdad drew neighbouring Iraq deeper into the Middle East war that has sparked economic turmoil across the globe.

The Iranian capital, under near-daily bombardment since a joint US-Israeli attack started the war on February 28, was hit by what the Israeli military said were strikes on "terror regime infrastructure".

Qatar says intercepts missile attack, explosions heard in Dubai

Qatar said Tuesday it had intercepted a missile attack as Iran presses its retaliatory campaign over strikes by the United States and Israel that killed its supreme leader.

An AFP journalist heard several explosions in Doha, a day after blasts resounded across the Qatari capital.

Qatar, like several Gulf nations, has been targeted by drones and missiles in the last days.

"The Ministry of Defense of State of Qatar announces that armed forces intercepted missile attack which targeted State of Qatar," the defence ministry posted on X.
