Adelaide Oval's CEO calls Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma to celebrate wedding at venue

New Delhi: Reports of Virat Kohli’s rumoured wedding ceremony in Italy with lady love Anushka Sharma have been doing the rounds on social media. After India clinched a 1-0 series win over Sri Lanka in the Tests series, the Indian skipper wasted no time and flew to Switzerland. The speculation fuelled further after Anushka was also spotted leaving the country with her family members.

However, Kohli could make his marriage ceremony memorable at one of the cricket pitches he’s enjoyed batting on – the Adelaide Oval. Andrew Daniels, the CEO of the stadium has also expressed interest in hosting the India skipper’s wedding at the iconic venue.

We would be thrilled to host Virat and Anushka’s wedding at Adelaide Oval. How fantastic would it be for Virat to create more happy memories here, considering his outstanding playing history at the Oval,” he was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

 

“With 26 purpose-built function spaces to choose from, combined with a showcase of South Australia’s finest food and wine it would be an unforgettable day for the future Mr and Mrs Kohli and their guests,” he added.

Virat Kohli has scored a total of 624 runs at an average of 89 in eight innings at Adelaide Oval. The 29-year-old also scored his maiden Test century and also captained the Indian Test team for the first time at the venue.

Previously, during Kohli’s 29th birthday, the stadium officials wished India’s run-machine in a special manner.
