There’s something about rooftops. Maybe it’s the breeze, the open skies, or just the idea of being above it all. Teraso, The Indian Social Bar, perched high in Jubilee Hills, taps right into that feeling. After a stunning revamp, it’s back—and this time, with a clear identity and purpose.
“We wanted to give it a real concept, something that feels rooted,” says Aman Chainani, MD at Teraso. “So now it’s not just Teraso—it’s The Indian Social Bar. That means Indian food, Indian vibes, and a place where people can really connect.”
The space itself is bright and open, with floor-to-ceiling glass bringing in sunlight through the day and offering panoramic views at night. It’s done up in soft creams and beige—very easy on the eyes. “We didn’t want to go too dark or dramatic. It should feel pleasant whether you are here for brunch or drinks post-sunset,” he adds.
The menu is split into two sides—classics and the future. And both are worth exploring. The classic section brings in comfort and familiarity: Rajouri Chole Bhature, Yam Galouti, Jama Masjid-style Chicken Tikka, and the rich Delhi Nalli Nihari. Don’t skip dessert—especially the Kulfi Popsicles, which arrive with a touch of nostalgia.
Then there’s the more playful side of the menu. “We have taken Indian ingredients and pushed the envelope a little,” explains Aman. Think Quinoa Avocado Puri Chaat, Dal Palak Risotto, and Anda Shami Kebabs. There’s even a dish that plays with three textures of Gajar ka Halwa—a traditional version, a light foam, and a creamy ice cream. “It’s our way of doing something fun, especially for the health-conscious crowd too,” says Chef Mohammed Ismail, who heads the kitchen and has worked at some of the top restaurants across India and Dubai.
The cocktails deserve a story of their own. Teraso’s bar menu is inspired by the sky—quite literally. “Each drink reflects a moment in the sky,” Aman shares. Their Milkyway Picante is a clarified take on the classic, with a mango twist. Then there’s First Light, Golden Hour, and Ash in the Wind—light, balanced, and beautifully crafted. And if you need a little nudge to pace yourself, there’s a fun stamp that marks every drink you order.
Among the bites that fly off the menu? Goli Chicken, Butter Chicken Samosa, Keema Pav, and the super-creative Pinwheel Paneer Tikka. These are easy, fun, and made for sharing.
What sets Teraso apart is the thought behind it. It’s not trying too hard. It’s just doing Indian food really well—with a fresh twist—and pairing it with cocktails you will remember. Whether you are catching up with friends, planning a date, or out with family, Teraso offers that rare mix of comfort and cool.
“Everyone’s doing big spaces, but what really stays with people is experience,” Aman says. “Good food, warm service, and a space you want to come back to—that’s what we’ve focused on.” And just like that, Teraso makes the terrace cool again.
