Chef Aziz revives royal Hyderabadi recipes at Raen – The Chef’s Studio from May 20–31

The Leela Hyderabad has unveiled Dawat-e-Hyderabadi, a regal culinary pop-up celebrating the rich heritage of Nizami cuisine, curated by renowned Chef Aziz. Hosted at Raen – The Chef’s Studio, the exclusive dining experience runs from May 20 to 31, reviving heirloom recipes that once graced Hyderabad’s royal kitchens.


Paying homage to the city’s culinary roots, the experience offers a menu steeped in tradition, with each dish echoing the grandeur of home-style meals from the Nizam era. Chef Aziz, known for his mastery in traditional slow-cooking, presents a soulful repertoire crafted with authenticity and precision.

Signature vegetarian delights such as Bagara Rice, Hyderabadi Dalcha, and Dum ke Baingan are featured alongside luxurious non-vegetarian staples like Deccani Haleem, Machli Shahi Korma, and the iconic Kachi Gosht Biryani. The lavish meal concludes with indulgent desserts including Sheer Khurma, Kaddu ka Kheer, and Qubani ka Meetha.

Speaking about the pop-up, Chef Aziz said, “Dawat-e-Hyderabadi is my tribute to the timeless cuisine of my homeland. These recipes carry the essence of family, festivity, and forgotten royal kitchens.”

  • Monday–Thursday: Dinner (7:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

  • Friday & Saturday: Lunch (12:30 PM – 3:00 PM) and Dinner (7:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

  • Sunday: Closed
