Samsung Galaxy A8+ launched in India

Samsung has launched a new smartphone — Galaxy A8+ in India, priced at Rs 32,990. The smartphone will be exclusively available via Amazon starting January 20. The key highlights of the smartphone are its 6GB RAM, Infinity display with super AMOLED panel, IP68 dust and water resistance, dual front cameras, Samsung Pay support and Bixby support.

The handset sports a 6-inch FHD+ with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Exynos 7885 octa-core SoC, with two cores clocked at a 2.2GHz and six cores clocked at 1.6GHz. The handset is backed by 6GB RAM. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

On the photography front, the smartphone features dual front camera setup that sports a 16MP and an 8MP module with f/1.9 aperture. It sports a 16MP rear camera sensor on the back with a f/1.7 lens. The smartphone features 64GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB.

On the connectivity front, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. The handset draws power from a 3500mAh battery and weighs about 191 grams.
