The Samsung Galaxy S7 was recently announced at the MWC 2016 and was pronounced with an IP68 certification.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 was finally launched at the MEC 2016 in Barcelona. The Korean tech giant claimed that the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge flagship smartphones are certified water and dust-resistant. Though a smartphone can be made water tight, the only areas that make them vulnerable to water is the openings—earphone jack, power jack, speakers and all the buttons. However, manufacturers do make thorough arrangements for tackling these issues. For example, rubber gaskets can be lined around the ports and buttons. However, lining the earphone jack, speaker and micro USB ports are tricky. Check out if Samsung and Apple have got their smartphones keeping water out of them.
