Snapchat to put an end to its Local Stories' feature

Snapchat hasn’t received any major update in the recent past. Well, that’s about to change. Snapchat is reportedly putting an end to its daily ‘Local Stories’ feature for certain cities like New York, San Francisco among others.

As per reports by Bloomberg, Snapchat has laid off around 15 employees who were in charge of creating content for ‘Local Stories’ in cities. This is because the Local Stories feature was apparently not gaining as much popularity as Snapchat’s other features especially the Live Events.

Additionally, Snapchat’s ‘Discover’ feature has been redesigned as well. Now it offers variety of content to interest users to spend as much time as possible inside the application.
