Apple has unveiled its new iPhones 17 lineup, along with updates to its digital watches and AirPod products at its annual September product launch.
The new iPhones are the first to be released since President Donald Trump returned to the White House and unleashed a barrage of tariffs, in what his administration says is an attempt to bring overseas manufacturing back to the U.S.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro, calling it the most Pro iPhone ever. The redesign swaps the old square camera block for a rectangular module and replaces titanium with a new aluminium frame.
Powering it is the A19 Pro chip with a custom vapor chamber welded into the chassis for cooling, which Apple says delivers 40% better performance than the iPhone 16 Pro. The device also packs the largest battery ever in an iPhone, giving it the best battery life across the lineup.
On the camera front, the Pro features three 48MP Fusion lenses for main, telephoto and ultra wide, while the Pro Max adds an 18MP Center Stage selfie camera and up to 8x zoom.
For video, the phones now support Dolby Vision HDR, 4K recording at 120fps, ProRes Log, ACES colour management, ProRes RAW and Genlock, features aimed squarely at professionals.

The new iPhone 17 features a ProMotion display with a refresh rate that ranges between 10Hz and 120Hz in active use, and 1Hz on the lock screen. It runs on an updated six-core A19 chip and supports faster on-device AI processing.

The new Apple Watch Ultra 3 comes with support for both 5G connectivity and satellite communication. The model offers the same health features as the Apple Watch Series 11, with the capacity of up to 42 hours of battery life.

The model offers support for 5G connectivity with new health features, such as blood pressure monitoring. The blood pressure monitor feature is pending regulatory approval, Apple said. The watch will not detect every case of high blood pressure but the company said it expects the feature to notify 1 million people and will make it available in 150 countries.
