Tovino Thomas Opts Out of Jr. NTR’s ‘Dragon’

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who was to play a major role in Prashant Neel’s Dragon, has exited the project, on the grounds that the constant delays were impacting the schedules of his Mollywood assignments.

Tovino is a sought-after actor in his home State, Kerala, and was content to remain in Malayalam cinema till Prashanth Neel convinced him to venture into Tollywood with Dragon.

However, it has been more than a year since shooting of the project began, and there’s no sign of completion. In fact, Anil Kapoor was added to the cast just recently.

Tovino’s exit has created a major hurdle, as he has already shot for Dragon. His scenes will have to be scrapped and shot with another actor whose dates will have to match Jr. NTR’s schedule.

With this fresh impediment to completion, it is unlikely Dragon will be released this year.
