Sunny Deol Eyes Remake of ‘Arjun’ for Son Rajveer
The 1985 action drama will be given a contemporary flavour
Sunny Deol is planning a remake of his iconic film Arjun to launch his second son, Rajveer Deol, in the action genre. The 1985 classic, directed by Rahul Rawail, featured Sunny as a young revolutionist fighting systemic corruption. The new film will be an updated version of the original.
After making his acting debut in the soft romantic drama Dono (2023), Rajveer is being positioned by his father to transition into high-octane action. Sunny had earlier directed his eldest son, Karan Deol, in Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas (2019).
The original rights to Arjun belonged to producers Karim Morani and Sunil Soorma, who later transferred them to Shah Rukh Khan. Sunny Deol is in advanced discussions with Shah Rukh Khan to acquire the rights for the project.
