Sexual Assault Complaint Against ‘Dhurandhar’ Designer
The complainant states she was hired as an Assistant Art Director for the film and the accused introduced himself as her mentor during the course of the project
A rape case has been filed against Dhurandhar’s production designer Saini S Johray in Chandigarh after a young woman accused him of sexual assault, wrongful confinement, and physical abuse. Following her complaint, an FIR was registered, and police arrested Johray.
The complainant states she was hired as an Assistant Art Director for Dhurandhar. According to the complaint, Johray introduced himself as her mentor during the course of the project.
The woman further claimed that Johray later invited her to meet him at a hotel room in Chandigarh, stating that the meeting was work-related. She said she initially believed other team members would also be present. She alleged she later realised she had been called to the room alone where she was allegedly served an intoxicated beverage and allegedly assaulted.
The complainant also stated that Johray repeatedly warned her not to tell anyone about the meeting, claiming it could harm her professional reputation.
