Salman Khan Plays Peacemaker Between Farhan and Ranveer
He is to referee a meeting between the two
After Aamir Khan, it is Salman Khan’s turns to play mediator in the ongoing feud between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh. News is the superstar has spoken to both parties and advised a closed-door meeting between the two of them in his presence.
It is learnt that Ranveer Singh has offered to do another film for Farhan Akhtar at a later stage. The offer was made to both Farhan and his production partner, Ritesh Sidhwani, but was reportedly turned down.
Salman apparently advised Farhan to take up Ranveer’s offer of doing another film in lieu of Don 3. The veteran actor is very close to Farhan and his family, and is also fond of Ranveer.
Both parties have agreed to Salman’s suggestion of a meeting. The outcome remains to be seen.

Salman seeks veteran directors’ tips on Maathrubhumi
One more edit before the film is considered ready for theatres
Salman Khan has sought the opinion of his filmmaker-friends Sooraj Barjatya, Subhash Ghai and Kabir Khan on his beleaguered project Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace. A private screening of the film for these veteran directors was held jointly by Salman and the film’s official director Apoorva Lakhia earlier this week.
Based on the filmmakers’ suggestions and tips, Maatrubhumi, which has already undergone several edits, will go through one more such exercise. It is hoped that with this, the film will take final shape and be ready for release in theatres on schedule in August.
