‘A Tribute to the Unseen Heroes Post the Mumbai Attack’
Kangana Ranaut on Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata
In her new film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, Kangana Ranaut plays a nurse attending to the victims of the 9/11 attack in Mumbai. Speaking of the film Kangana says, “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is a salute to those invisible souls who, when pushed into crisis, rise to stand as the ultimate shield for humanity and harmony. When disaster strikes, our collective instinct is to look toward the uniformed forces or state authorities for salvation. But this film pays tributes to the uniforms nobody notices until the world is burning—the blood-stained aprons, the sterile hospital scrubs, the frayed civilian clothes.”
She adds, “True courage does not wait for a badge, permission, or the promise of a medal. Every single frame compels us to look into the eyes of people who surrendered everything they had without ever demanding an audience. I feel a profound honour in being part of a film that carries their truth to the world.”
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata directed by Manoj Tapadia, tells the real-life story of the unseen heroes and medical staff at Cama Hospital who protected hundreds of lives during the night of terror.
Kangana is also the co-producer of the film.
