Rashmika-Kriti Play a Couple in ‘Cocktail 2’

In a radical departure from the conventional love triangle, Homi Adajania’s Cocktail 2 features Rashmika Mandana and Kriti Sanon as a couple, with Shahid Kapoor playing their buddy and confidante.

“It was sporting of Shahid to take the backseat in the film. He usually likes to occupy centre-stage. But he found the relationship between the two ladies to be so enthralling that he had to say Yes,” says an informed source.

The central relationship between the two leading ladies is bound to prove somewhat controversial. That is why the producers, Maddock Films, are keeping it quiet, not even asking the actors to do selective publicity before release.

“They are hoping the audience will take to the unorthodox relationship after release,” a source reveals.

Apparently, the physical intimacy aspect has been played down. The fun element in the two-ladies-and-a guy format is what is spotlighted.
