No Prabhas on ‘Spirit’ Sets Yet!
Superstar prioritises Fauzi wrap; 2027 release in doubt
Shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit is underway in Mumbai — without its lead star Prabhas.
While a crucial 50-day schedule featuring the actor wrapped up a couple of months ago, the high-octane cop actioner is currently progressing with other cast members.
Prabhas’ return to the sets remains uncertain. Sources say the superstar has prioritised completing his portions for Hanu Raghavapudi’s historical war drama Fauzi before returning to Spirit full-time.
The delay in Fauzi which has moved out of its December 3, 2026 slot to 2027 has triggered speculation over Spirit’s timeline.
Although T-Series maintains that Spirit is on track for its announced March 5, 2027 theatrical release, trade insiders suggest a shift to late 2027 may be unavoidable if schedules overlap further.
