‘AK47’ Held at Last Minute, Bookings Shut
Advance bookings opened, then abruptly cancelled; new date uncertain
Victory Venkatesh’s Telugu family drama Aadarsha Kutumbam (AK47) has run into release chaos.
Starring Venkatesh and Srinidhi Shetty, the film was slated for a grand global release on October 2, 2026. Advance bookings had opened, building strong momentum.
However, producer Naga Vamsi S announced a last-minute postponement, citing a lag in post-production. The team said it could not finalise a high-quality theatrical copy in time and did not want to rush an unpolished product to cinemas.
The release was first pushed by a week to October 9. That date has now also been annulled.
The abrupt shift has disrupted promotional plans of other regional films and left theatre owners and fans confused after bookings were suddenly closed, prompting a public apology from the makers!
