Madhavan Moves Court Against Fake Ad Using His Name

R. Madhavan is rarely seen losing his temper. However, on Wednesday, the actor sent a legal notice to a healthcare brand for allegedly using his name and interview clip in an advertisement reel.

The reel features a clip from one of Madhavan’s interviews in which he speaks about losing weight in 21 days. A man in the video, claiming to be a doctor, comments about the actor’s physical transformation, giving the impression that the healthcare brand was linked to Madhavan’s weight-loss journey.

“This is outrageous. How do these people and organisations think they can get away with this? I have sent them a legal notice, and I intend to see this to the conclusion,” the actor said, clearly furious. “The problem is, we do not follow up our grievances in court to culmination. So people like these feel there is nothing to fear. But the legal process should be used by people like us to get justice. There are so many out there who can’t afford it. We can.”
