Kamal and Amitabh To Go Head-to-Head!

41 years after their last film, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan reunite in Kalki 2! Kamal plays the villain. They had no scenes together in the 2024 original.The two first acted together in the 1985 hit film Geraftaar. Says Amitabh, “Geraftaar was a commitment I had made to producer S Ramanathan. Both Kamalji and I had fun doing the film. But it didn’t really add anything to our individual rosters. If I remember correctly, Rajinikanth too was there.” So is he planning a face-off with his co-star? “Acting is never about scoring over your co-star, though the media loves to pitch co-actors against one another,” smiles Amitabh.

In 2012, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan were all set to come together for a Hollywood project produced by Barrie M Osborne and directed by Kamal Haasan, but it didn’t materialise.
