Farhan Akhtar To Play R D Burman

After Pandit Ravi Shankar, the legendary composer Rahul Dev Burman is Farhan Akhtar’s next assignment. The singer-actor is getting to play two musical icons one after another.

While Farhan will play sitarist Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar in a biopic on the British group The Beatles, R D Burman’s biopic, to be titled Pancham, will be produced and directed by Neeraj Pandey.

Several names were considered for the part. But it was Farhan who reportedly got the maximum votes for the role of Burman, thanks to his skills as a musician and actor.
