Punjabi singer Jasmine Sandlas faces intense criticism after arriving nearly three hours late for her concert at Quake Arena in Hyderabad on June 27 and then lip-syncing throughout a performance promoted as a live event.

“The show was scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m.,” one member of the audience told. “But Jasmine took the stage around 11:20 p.m. without offering an apology or explanation. The performance had no live vocals. What is the point of a ‘live’ concert where the singer doesn’t sing on stage? We paid for live, not lip-sync.”

The organisers of the event also drew considerable flak for “total lack of communication and poor crowd management.”

This is not the first time such charges have been levelled at the Dhurandhar singer. She was called out for lip-syncing during a performance in Ahmedabad in April this year, triggering an online debate.

As of now, neither the singer nor the event coordinators have issued an official response to the public backlash over the Hyderabad concert.

· “Horrible Event..... She literally just disappeared... + The management by QUAKE... The worst of them all... Food service with extra cover charges.. just minting money for absolutely nothing.... I’ve been to club concerts before, but this the worst of all,” said another netizen.
