Rumours of Alia Bhatt replacing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the face of L’Oréal Paris have been put to rest, with the latter’s team firmly denying the speculation. The buzz began after Alia unveiled her latest campaign poster for the beauty giant, sparking widespread chatter across social media about a possible changing of guard. However, Aishwarya’s manager Archana has clarified that the actress remains one of the brand’s key global ambassadors and is expected to attend the upcoming Cannes Film Festival as part of her long-standing association with the company.

This is not the first time rumours have surfaced around the beauty giant. Years ago, when Sonam Kapoor joined the brand as an ambassador, reports claimed she was being brought in as Aishwarya’s successor. The speculation became so intense that L'Oréal Paris eventually issued a clarification, stating that Sonam’s appointment was part of the company’s effort to showcase multiple personalities and celebrate diversity and not an exercise to replace any existing ambassador.

At that time, gossip columns hinted at tension between Sonam and Aishwarya, particularly linking Sonam’s skipping of the traditional Cannes red carpet appearance that year to Aishwarya. The former Miss World later denied any involvement, saying she had been preoccupied with an extremely busy schedule and had no knowledge of Sonam’s plans.
