HYDERABAD: K. Manish Goud from St Joseph’s College won three medals at the Osmania University’s Inter-College Swimming Championship for men and women, conducted by Badruka College of Commerce & Arts at the GHMC Swimming Pool in Amberpet on Wednesday.

Manish won golds in the 100 & 200 metres Breaststroke events and a silver in the 50 metres Breaststroke category at the championship in which swimmers from 26 colleges participated.

Mohammed Ammar Hamza won gold in the 50 metres Freestyle while G. Virinchi Reddy took the top honours in the 50 metres backstroke event.

Men’s 50m Breaststroke: 1. G. Virinchi Reddy (Keshav Memorial) 36.77 seconds, 2. K. Manish Goud (St Joseph’s) 37.96, 3. Tanmay Srivastava (Tapasya) 39.73.

Men’s 50m Freestyle: 1. Mohammed Ammar Hamza (ACME) 28.21 seconds, 2. G. Virinchi Reddy (Keshav Memorial) 29.15, 3. M. Krishna Gopi (Loyola) 30.70.

Men’s 100m Backstroke: 1. J. Raj Likhit (Matrusri) 1 minute 31.49 seconds, 2. R. Aravind (Loyola) 1:31.49, 3. Mohammed Furqaan Khan (GCPE) 1:59.41.

Men’s 100m Breaststroke: 1. K. Manish Goud (St Joseph’s) 1 minute 29.22 seconds, 2. Karthik Srivasthava (Tapasya) 1:34.44, 3. B. Amith (Badruka) 1:39.89.

Men’s 100 metres Butterfly: 1. Amogh Revelli (NGIT) 1 minute 40.03 seconds, 2. M. Sushanth Desai (CBIT) 1:40.31, 3. Abhinav Deverakonda (MVSR) 2:01.33.

Men’s 200 metres Breaststroke: 1. K. Manish Goud (St Joseph’s College) 3 minutes 35.61 seconds, 2. Atif Muzamil Ali Khan (Anwar-ul Uloom) 3:53.29, 3. Sai Harsha Vardhan (Ambedkar College) 4:18.93.
