Savitha in Line for Double Title at Raja Memorial Tennis Tourney

Hyderabad:Shreeniti Chowdhary and Savitha Bhuvanesh-waran will clash for the Girls singles title at the Raja Narsimha Rao Memorial ITF Juniors tennis tournament being held at the Lake View Tennis Academy in Hyderabad.

In the semifinals played on Friday, Shreeniti defeated eighth seed Aahida Singh in straight sets at 6-2, 6-1. In the other semi, Savitha got past Riddhi Shinde after battling through two tough sets 7-6(1), 7-6(4).

Having won the girls doubles title alongside Sanmitha Harini Lokesh (they beat Aaniya Thammineni & Aanika Thammineni 6-0, 6-0 in the final) Savitha will now look for a double.

In the boys section, Mannam Ashok Agarwal will take on Ranvir Singh for the singles trophy.

Mannam mauled Heet Bhimshibha Kandoriya 6-2, 6-0 in the first semifinal while Ranvir rapped Ribhav Saroha with a 6-4, 6-2 scoreline.
