National Sub-Junior Chess Championship Next Month
This year’s championship will be conducted for the Sri Duddilla Sripada Rao Gold Cup. Senior Telangana chess official and organising committee chairman K. S. Prasad was also present at the brochure launch that was held at the Minister’s residence.
Hyderabad: Telangana IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Tuesday launched the brochure for the 51st National Sub-Junior Under-15 Chess Championship to be held from October 12 to 20 at the Saroornagar Indoor Stadium in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. The championship is returning to Hyderabad after the 24 years.
The previous championship held in Hyderabad was in October 2002 at the Jubilee Hills International Centre, where Telangana players Gogineni Rohith and N. Vinuthna emerged winners in the boys’ and girls’ categories respectively.
