Youth Allegedly Under the Influence of Drugs Rams Car Into Police Officers In Abids

Hyderabad: A youth, allegedly under the influence of drugs, rammed his car into police personnel while trying to flee during an anti-drug operation in Abids on Monday.

According to police, personnel from the H-New Police Station conducted a raid after receiving information about a suspected drug transaction in the area. On noticing the police, the accused, identified as Saif, allegedly tried to flee by driving his car towards the officers, creating panic at the scene.

In the incident, Constable Mahender Yadav sustained a leg fracture, while Inspector Srikanth and Constable Vamshidhar suffered minor injuries.

Police chased the vehicle, apprehended Saif, and took him into custody. During the investigation, it was found that Saif has murder cases registered against him at the Abids and Afzalgunj police stations. Further investigation is underway.
