A large Deeksha Mandapam is scheduled to come up near the Vishnu Pushkarini on the hill shrine of Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy, enabling the stay for devotees who take Narsimha deeksha.

Before the Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy Temple had been reconstructed, devotees taking Narsimha deeksha used to stay on the hill shrine for 15 days. The devasthanam used to provide necessary facilities to them.

Since the beginning of temple reconstruction works, the staying facility for devotees taking deeksha had remained suspended for almost a decade.

The second meeting of the temple trust’s new board has approved the decision of the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy Devasthanam to take up construction of the Deeksha Mandapam at a cost of ₹43.12 crore. Officials have finalised the design of madapam, which would consist of a cellar for parking vehicles, 34 rooms, and a dormitory with a capacity to accommodate 300 devotees. The cellar can provide parking facility for 550 two wheelers and 310 cars at a time.

The devasthanam has also decided to set up large size Shanku Chakra Namam illuminated with colorful lights on the southern side of the temple. Shanku Chakra Namam had been removed from this same place in 2014 for reconstruction of the temple.

Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy Temple executive officer J. Bhavani Shanker said works on the Deeksha Mandapam will start soon.
