Workers’ Background Checks Mandatory: Sajjanar

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar warned employers against negligence in hiring workers, citing 565 servant theft cases registered in two years and stressing the need for proper verification.

Sajjanar stressed that the employers’ police verification is mandatory stating Hyderabad City Police are alerting the public as thefts by workers are increasing.

He explained that the main reason behind such thefts is employers’ negligence while appointing workers. He warned that hiring individuals without proper background checks and verification could result in serious consequences, including the loss of valuable property and personal security.
