Hyderabad:Vaad‑Vivaad, a women‑only debate event, was held at Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University on Wednesday to encourage students to express their views and build confidence.
The debate was conducted exclusively for women, by women and judged by women. Organisers said more than 120 participants from various colleges took part.
Speaking about the initiative, organisers said it is vital to work on women’s empowerment for the coming generation. The platform was created to help girls overcome stage fear, build confidence and make their voices heard.
They added, “Women’s reservation should not be just talked about on stage, but implemented on the ground. This is a step towards creating a real platform for women to lead.”
