Will Dump Project Hurdles in Musi River: CM Revanth Reddy

Speaking at a public meeting at Nalgonda, he said that the state government was ready to discuss the 10-year-long rule of the BRS government and two-and-a-half year rule of the Congress government in the state and the 12-year rule of the BJP government at the Centre and manifestos of these political parties in the Legislative Houses.

He dared the opposition parties to write a letter to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and Chairman of the Legislative Council requesting a special session for the purpose. The state government was ready to conduct a special session for the number of days proposed by the opposition parties, he added.

In a scathing attack on the Opposition for obstructing the Musi Rejuvenation Project, Revanth Reddy reaffirmed that he will complete the Musi project. The Chief Minister warned that those who create hurdles for the Musi project will be dumped in the Musi River.

Pollution from the Musi River was causing women in Nalgonda to give birth to children with eye and limb deformities. "Should we step down just because we are cleaning up the Musi river?" the Chief Minister asked.

Stating that the Congress government has filled up 70,000 government jobs in 30 months, he said the state government was ready to discuss it in the legislative assembly and furnish the department-wise filling of vacant posts.
Coming down heavily on the BRS for its propaganda against the Congress government, Revanth Reddy said only BRS leaders such as K. Taraka Rama Rao and his brother-in-law T Harish Rao are claiming that the people desired the return of the BRS government. “Not the people of the state, a family and its supporters, who amassed wealth during the 10 years of the BRS government, wanted the return of the party to power again. The people were permanently socially boycotting the BRS, which has no future.”
Stating that the indebtedness of the state was increased to ₹8,11,000 crore from ₹69,000 crore during 10 years rule of the BRS government, he said the destruction of the state equal for 100 years was done by the earlier BRS government in 10 years. The people of the state would not allow this destruction in future, he added.

Revanth Reddy said the BRS leaders, who owned farmhouses in hundreds of acres, were not digesting the allocation of Indiramma houses to the poor by the state government and were even trying to politicise it. Nearly 20 lakh poor families might have got their own houses in the state if the earlier BRS government had shown sincerity in the housing scheme. After coming to power, the Congress government has revived the Indiramma houses scheme and sanctioned 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses to the eligible poor families.

Explaining the measures taken up for the welfare of the farmers, the Chief Minister informed that the state government has spent `1.56 lakh crore for Rythu Bharosa, Rythu Bheema and others. The state government was working with an aim to see happiness in the eyes of the farmers by making agriculture a festival.
He blamed the earlier BRS government for the status of SLBC tunnel works and announced that the SLBC tunnel and Dindi Lift Irrigation Schemes would be completed soon. The Musi Rejuvenation Project was aimed at developing the Musi at the level of international delegates to visit it to see the change. Musi Rejuvenation would be implemented, not caring the hurdles created by anybody, he made it clear.

Rajagopal skips CM's Nalgonda tour

Congress MLA from Munugode Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy's absence from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's public meeting in Nalgonda on Sunday triggered political speculation.

For the past few days, there had been widespread discussion on social media over whether Rajagopal Reddy would attend the Chief Minister's programme.

Amid reports that some of Rajagopal Reddy's supporters were planning to stage a protest over his exclusion from the state Cabinet, police took several Congress leaders into preventive custody. Munugode Congress social media in-charge Jangili Nagaraju was detained until the Chief Minister's visit concluded.

A brief altercation also took place between security personnel and Congress leaders when they attempted to meet the Chief Minister after the public meeting. Supporters of Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed displeasure over the handling of the situation by security personnel.

Members of the Telangana Rakshana Sena also attempted to stage a protest near the NG College grounds, the venue of the meeting. Police detained them and dispersed the protest.
