Adilabad: The Basar IIIT (Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, RGUKT), Nirmal, has reportedly decided to conduct classes online and Semester-I midterm examinations in both online and offline modes for 2026-27 instead of entirely on campus to avoid drinking water shortage problems for students.
The exams were scheduled to be held on campus from October 26 to 28. Nearly 9,000 students study at the institute, which also has about 1,000 staff members.
Earlier in the week, Basar IIIT extended the Dasara holidays from October 10-21 for students from PUC-I to Engineering fourth year (E4) due to the water shortage. The institute was scheduled to reopen on October 22 as per the academic calendar.
