Wanaparthy DAO Held Red-Handed for Demanding Bribe for Fertilizer Supply

Officer trapped while accepting ₹10,000 after allegedly demanding ₹20,000 to ensure uninterrupted supply of urea.

According to ACB officials, the officer had allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹20,000 from the complainant to ensure regular and uninterrupted supply of urea.

Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Puppala Anjaneyulu Goud, District Agriculture Officer of Wanaparthy district, while accepting a bribe in connection with the supply of fertilizers.

According to ACB officials, the officer had allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹20,000 from the complainant to ensure regular and uninterrupted supply of urea.

As per the complaint, the officer had already accepted ₹3,000 earlier and was caught red-handed while accepting ₹10,000 as part of the bribe amount. The trap was laid following a complaint received by the ACB.

ACB officials recovered the bribe amount and conducted further proceedings as per law. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
