Triveni Season 3 Concert on January 4

Hyderabad:Surmandal’s Triveni Season 3 concert will be held on January 4, at Ravindra Bharati, setting the tone for the institution’s journey towards its 57th anniversary. The concert will feature renowned vocalist Kaushiki Chakraborty and include a live painting initiative supporting Sparsh Hospice.

Founded in 1969 by Shri Mohan Hemmadi, Surmandal has played a defining role in establishing Hyderabad as a classical music capital — hosting legendary maestros, nurturing young talent, and taking classical music beyond concert halls.

As it celebrates 56 years, the institution is planning to expand to other cities and explore genres such as Sufi, ghazal, and qawwali. Music lovers have also reiterated their request to name Road No. 14 in Banjara Hills after its founder.
