TGSWREIS Orders Strict Attendance Via FRS
Officials informed the secretary that a second set of uniforms had been stitched and supplied for nearly 1.44 lakh students through the SERP.
Hyderabad:The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) has directed its field‑level officials to ensure 100 per cent daily recording of student attendance through the Face Recognition System (FRS). They were also instructed to complete pending distribution of uniforms and other student welfare material by November 2.
These directions were issued by TGSWREIS secretary Ravi Gugulothu during a video conference with zonal officers, district coordinators (DCOs) and principals on Sunday.
He said residential institutions reporting low attendance should identify the reasons and take corrective measures. House masters were instructed to contact parents of absent students over the telephone to ascertain the reasons for their ward’s absence and ensure their return to the institutions.
Officials informed the secretary that a second set of uniforms had been stitched and supplied for nearly 1.44 lakh students through the SERP.
However, discrepancies were noticed between the quantities supplied to institutions and the distribution figures reported by the residential institutions.
