TGSPDCL Records Peak Power Demand of 10,447 MW in July
TGSPDCL successfully supplied a total of 5,701.73 Million Units (MU) of electricity to consumers during the month of July 2026
Hyderabad: Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) recorded a peak power demand of 10,447 MW on July 25, while the highest daily energy supply of 209.91 Million Units (MU) was recorded on July 15, 2026.
Further, TGSPDCL successfully supplied a total of 5,701.73 Million Units (MU) of electricity to consumers during the month of July 2026.
The TGSPDCL has s ensured quality and uninterrupted power supply across its jurisdiction despite a significant increase in electricity demand in July 2026, said Jitesh V. Patil, Chairman and Managing Director, TGSPDCL.
He stated that the company effectively managed the rising power demand through advance planning, efficient load management, strengthening of the power distribution network, augmentation of substation capacities, construction of new substations, and development of feeders, thereby ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers.
The CMD stated that this achievement was made possible through continuous infrastructure development, including construction of new substations, augmentation of existing substations, strengthening of feeders, network modernization, preventive maintenance, and adoption of advanced technologies.
He further said that, under the guidance of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Minister for Energy Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka Garu, the TGSPDCL has been implementing a comprehensive action plan to address the challenges posed by El Niño conditions, high temperatures, and the monsoon season. Continuous monitoring of the power network, timely preventive maintenance, and deployment of additional manpower and resources have ensured that consumers experience no power interruptions.
The CMD added that field-level officers and staff are working round the clock to efficiently manage the increasing electricity demand from the agricultural, domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors.
He emphasized that modernization of the power distribution system, enhancement of network capacity, and delivery of reliable, high-quality power supply remain the company's key priorities.
Patil reaffirmed the company's commitment to continue taking all necessary measures to provide the people of Telangana with reliable, quality, and uninterrupted power supply in the future as well.
