TGCSB Registers 71 Cases in Special Operation Against Online Child Abuse

A total of 30 FIRs were registered from the tiplines received in the year 2024.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has registered 71 cases after conducting a special operation against child sexual exploitation and abuse material (CSEAM). Fortyseven individuals have been arrested so far by various police stations throughout the state, the bureau said.

In Telangana, the TGCSB serves as the nodal agency for managing CSEAM including cyber tiplines and CPRGR complaints received through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) and Case Monitoring Tool of the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

In the 2024, TGCSB has processed 7,247 cyber tiplines and conducted deep and dark web patrols, identifying 41 suspects involved in online child sexual abuse across the state. Also, a total of 30 FIRs were registered from the tiplines received in the year 2024.
