Telangana Student Delegation Visits Haryana Under Union Govt’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat
Students visited Government Senior Secondary School in Shahabad, Jai Shri Ram Vidyapeeth and Sainik School in Kurukshetra district
HYDERABAD: A 26-member student delegation from Telangana visited Haryana from July 15 to 22 under the Union government’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme, where they toured schools, presented Telangana art forms and learnt about Haryana’s history, language and traditions.
Students visited Government Senior Secondary School in Shahabad, Jai Shri Ram Vidyapeeth and Sainik School in Kurukshetra district. They performed Oggu Katha, folk dances and other art forms, which received appreciation from students and staff at the three institutions.
The delegation visited the Kurukshetra Science Museum and other historical and cultural sites. The students learnt about Haryana’s customs, cuisine and way of life, while Haryana students were introduced to Bathukamma, Bonalu, Oggu Katha and Telangana folk traditions. The visitors also presented basic conversations and speeches in Haryana language
Samagra Shiksha official Javed, headmaster S.K. Taj Babu, SCERT representative E.D. Madhusudan Reddy and six escort teachers accompanied the students. “The visit strengthened cultural understanding, national integration and mutual respect between students of the two States,” Taj Babu said.
