Hyderabad: The Telangana Arekatika Trust and the Telangana State Arekatika Election Committee have jointly announced the schedule for the Telangana State Arekatika Sangh Presidential Election 2026. The community is in the business of selling goat and sheep meat and its bye products (butchery). The election will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 (Gandhi Jayanti) at Hyderabad. Polling will be conducted from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the results scheduled to be declared on the same day.

The Election Committee has stated that the election process will be conducted in a peaceful, democratic, fair and transparent manner, in accordance with the rules, guidelines, and instructions issued by the Committee. The elected President will hold office for a term of four years.

Election Schedule

Issue of Nomination Forms: September 7, 2026

Last Date for Submission of Nominations: September 12, 2026, up to 5:00 PM

Last Date for Withdrawal of Nominations: September 15, 2026, up to 5:00 PM

Final List of Candidates & Symbol Allotment: September 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM

Polling Date: October 2, 2026, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Declaration of Results: October 2, 2026, on the same day

Following the publication of the final list of candidates, the final voter list and allotted election symbols will be provided to all contesting candidates by the Election Committee.

Any person wishing to contest for the post of President of Telangana State Arekatika Sangh must be enrolled in the official voter list released by the Election Committee.

Each nomination must be proposed and supported by two registered voters, and the names of both the proposer and seconder must appear in the official voter list released by the Election Committee. The nomination fee is ₹11,000/- (Rupees Eleven Thousand Only), which is non-refundable.

The Election Committee has requested all candidates, their representatives, and voters to strictly adhere to the rules, guidelines, instructions, and decisions issued from time to time to ensure the smooth conduct of the election.
