Hyderabad: Praja Shanthi Party President K.A. Paul has extended an open invitation to sacked Telangana Minister Konda Surekha to join his party.
Shortly before her ouster from the Telangana Cabinet, Paul released a video on social media inviting her into his party fold and said that Konda Surekha is a powerful leader. He offered her a prominent platform within his party if she felt sidelined. Paul alleged that in the current Congress government, only upper caste leaders enjoy political job security, while Backward Classes and weaker section leaders are targeted and left vulnerable.
He claimed that his Praja Shanthi Party is the only political platform capable of delivering real justice to BC communities in Telangana.
Endowments and Forest Minister Konda Surekha was sacked from the State Cabinet on Thursday. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy decided to drop her from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect, and a recommendation to this effect has been sent to the Governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla. The action followed the TPCC Disciplinary Committee recommending stringent action against Surekha in connection with alleged "anti-Chief Minister" and "anti-Congress" remarks made by her daughter. The committee had recommended her removal from the Cabinet.
