Ghoshamahal MLA Raja Singh Comments on Konda Surekha Issue

Hyderabad: Comments made by Goshamahal MLA T. Raja Singh on the ongoing controversy involving Endowments Minister Konda Surekha have gone viral and stirred debate in Telangana's political circles.

The episode involving Minister Konda Surekha has become a hot topic in state politics for some time. Reports state that the Congress high command and the party leadership have asked Surekha to resign, and she is now preparing to announce her future course of action.

Amid this political drama, BJP MLA Raja Singh alleged that Konda Surekha is being pushed out of the party not for political reasons, but allegedly because of a dispute over the distribution of money shares. He claimed that corruption has always been synonymous with the Congress party. Adding another layer to the controversy, Surekha's daughter, Suhsmitha, has reportedly made corruption allegations against the Telangana Chief Minister.

Amid speculation that the Konda couple is preparing for a showdown with the Congress high command, on Thursday the Congress high command asked Konda Surekha to resign as the Minister. The action followed after the TPCC disciplinary committee recommended stringent action against her in connection with “anti-Chief Minister” and “anti-Congress” remarks made by her daughter. The committee recommended the removal of Konda Surekha from the Cabinet.
