Telangana Grants MoS Rank to Dayakar, Balmoor Venkat

Hyderabad: Telangana government has accorded Minister of State rank to the Government Whips – Addanki Dayakar and Balmoor Venkat, who are MLCs.
The two MLCs have been appointed as Government Whips of Telangana Legislative Council from March 18, 2026. Consequent on their appointment as Government Whips, the government conferred Dayakar and Venkat the status of Minister of State, and they will rank under Article 18 of the State Warrant of Precedence.
The above position is personal to the dignitaries concerned for the duration of the term of their office. There will be no formal amendment to the State Table of Warrant of Precedence.
All the Departments of Secretariat, Heads of Departments, Collectors and District Magistrates, Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police are requested to extend necessary protocol and other courtesies accordingly, according to a government order.
