Telangana Hikes Auto Charges, Minimum Fare Now Rs 30

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has increased the auto charges. The minimum fare for 1.6 kms is Rs.30 and it will be Rs.14 for each subsequent km. The night fare from 11 pm to 5 am would be one and half time of the normal fare.
An order to this effect was issued here on Friday. The fares were last fixed in February 2014.
Telangana State Auto and App-based Unions JAC called an indefinite strike of auto, cab and school van drivers from midnight of August 23, 2026 on 14 demands, including revision of meter fares.
During a meeting, the unions were assured that the fare revision proposal would be sent to the government within 15 days after which the strike was called off.

The Transport Commissioner shall grant three months time from the date of issue of orders, for resetting the digital meter to the revised tariff in respect of the existing meters and in the meantime there shall be exhibited in the entire auto rickshaws approved tariff card indicating the existing and revised fares.
