Hyderabad: Foreign medical graduate (FMG) interns or house surgeons from across Telangana held a rally from Jalavihar towards People’s Plaza to highlight the challenges they were facing regarding stipend parity and internship conditions.

Their three demands were stipend parity at ₹29,792 per month for eligible FMG interns, at par with Indian Medical Graduates (IMGs), release of stipend dues from January at the parity rate and no unfair internship extensions or punitive action for participating in peaceful protests.

The interns appealed to the health ministry to intervene and address their demands.
