HYDERABAD: The Telangana School Education Department has invited applications from gazetted headmasters and school assistants for 202 vacancies in DIETs, CTEs, IASE and SCERT through a computer-based test, interview and demonstration.
Applications will be accepted from July 4 to 14, with a correction window on July 17. The CBT will be held in Hyderabad from July 25 to 31, followed by interviews and demonstrations from August 6 to 8. Deputation orders will be issued on August 10.
The vacancies include 131 in 10 DIETs, 36 in three CTEs, 17 at IASE, Masab Tank, and 18 at SCERT. The stop-gap arrangement is needed as lecturer posts remain vacant and teacher education courses require staff.
Eligible gazetted headmasters and school assistants from government and local-body schools can apply. Candidates should be below 58 years of age as on June 30 and have at least five years of qualifying service. The application fee is ₹500 for each test session.
The CBT will carry 80 marks with 80 multiple choice questions to be completed in two hours. There will be no negative marking. The interview and demonstration will carry 20 marks, and candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio.
Deputation under foreign service terms and conditions will be for one year or until regular appointments are made, whichever is earlier. Selected teachers will retain their pay but cannot claim seniority or regularisation. The opening proceedings mention 211 vacancies outside SCERT, while the notification and annexures list 202.
