KAZIPET (HANAMKONDA): The three-day Urs celebrations at the Biabani dargah in Kazipet concluded on Wednesday, with organisers estimating that around 1.5 lakh devotees from Telangana and other parts of the region visited the shrine during the festivities.
The Badavotsavam on the final day was the main attraction. Following special prayers at the dargah in the afternoon, Rifayi fakirs performed traditional feats that drew large crowds.
Organisers said the Rifayi feats were performed as part of the rituals at the shrine. The acts included piercing needles through their bodies and other physically demanding performances.
