HANAMKONDA (WARDHANNAPET): Hanamkonda District Congress Committee (DCC) president and Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (Kuda) chairman Engala Venkat Ram Reddy on Saturday asked Congress Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to remain vigilant during the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Addressing an awareness seminar for Congress BLAs of Wardhannapet Assembly constituency at Satya Sai Gardens in Madikonda, he said BLAs played a key role in ensuring accuracy and transparency in the voter list revision process.

The seminar, chaired by Wardhannapet MLA K.R. Nagaraju, focused on familiarising party representatives with the technical and legal aspects of the SIR exercise.

Venkat Ram Reddy said the revision of electoral rolls was essential to ensure that eligible citizens could exercise their franchise. He asked BLAs to work at the grassroots level to include all eligible voters and monitor the removal of ineligible or duplicate entries.

"The strength of the party begins at the polling booth level. A strong and vigilant BLA network is essential for protecting the integrity of the electoral process and strengthening the party organisation," he said.

K.R. Nagaraju said BLAs would play a key role in maintaining transparency in the electoral process and preparing the party for future elections. He stressed the need for them to understand the legal and procedural aspects of the SIR exercise.

TPCC Women’s Wing president Errabelli Swarna, TPCC general secretary Duddilla Srinubabu, Hanamkonda District Kisan Congress chairman Pingili Venkat Ram Narasimha Reddy and other party leaders were present.
