Surekha writes to AICC leadership on caste survey success

Hyderabad:Endowment minister Konda Surekha hailed the Telangana government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for the successful conduct of the BC survey in the State. Towards this, she wrote a letter to the party high command, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, K.C. Venugopal and others.

In a statement, Surekha expressed hope that the survey will pave the way for delivering justice to the BCs in the State and fulfill the promise made by the Congress in the Kamareddy declaration.

She also listed the dedicated efforts of the party’s state in-charge Deepa Das Munshi, cabinet sub-committee chairman N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, BC welfare minister Ponnam Prabhakar and TPCC chief Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud in the successful completion of the caste survey.

Van driver stabbed to death in Bandlaguda

Hyderabad:A gang of three persons waylaid a 25-year-old van driver and stabbed him to death near his house in Hashimabad, Bandlaguda, at about 4.50 pm on Thursday evening. The victim Shaik Shebaz was on a bike, and the assailants dragged him to a corner near a graveyard and stabbed him to death.

The victim, a resident of Indiranagar, was a close friend of the assailants, who are at large. “We suspect personal rivalry to be the reason for the murder,” said K. Satyanarayana SHO Bandlaguda. The assailants have been identified as Hashim, Ayub and Shaik Amir, all from Indiranagar.
